One of the places that I’ve always wanted to go is Italy. There’s so much history there. We were only able to spend a few days in each city but there were so many more places that we couldn’t visit. After our first night there, we headed to Vatican City. It is highly recommended that you make reservations or else you’re be spending at least an hour in line for tickets to the Vatican Museum. St. Peter’s Basilica is free but there’s a long line to get in. If you can wait half an hour, than it’s not too bad. Don’t fall for those guys that try to sell you skip the line pass. Just saying.
This is the spiral staircase you will be walking through when you leave Vatican City Museum. Isn’t it lovely? One of the most photographic place in the museum since you can’t take pictures of the Sistine Chapel. Don’t even dare, they have people watching you.
Vatican city from the top of the church. To get to the top, you’ll need to climb 537 steps and pay five euros or take the elevator and still climb 300 steps for seven euros. It’s quite a climb and as you get closer to the top, the stairway gets narrower and narrower. But it’s very rewarding once you are up there and overlooking Vatican City and its surrounding.
